60% of Oregon Students Can’t Read or Write at Grade Level
Ben Edtl: “Democrat Senate Caucus Leader, Rob Wagner, Sacrificed an entire generation of Oregonians for his own selfish gains.”
CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. — Oregon schools have reached a new all time low at the hands of derelict Democrat Senate Majority Leader Rob Wagner, of Lake Oswego, says Republican Senate Candidate Ben Edtl. Edtl is the frontrunner in the race to strip Wagner of his title.
“The Democrat Senate Caucus Leader, Rob Wagner, has worked his ass off to completely fail our kids. In his bidding for Kate Brown to pack as much wokeness into school curriculum for her last term, he’s ensured that 72% of Oregon kids can’t achieve proficiency in grade level math.”
Rob Wagner gave total control of local school districts to the Oregon Department of Education through the passing HB 1521. And just one year later the Oregon Department of Education is now reporting that 61% of students in Oregon can’t read or write at grade level.
Incumbent Senator, Rob Wagner, was the Associate Vice President at Portland Community College and the Legislative Affairs Director for the American Federation of Teachers – Oregon. He was also the Chairman of the Lake Oswego School Board. His endorsements include American Federation of Teachers-Oregon, Oregon School Employees Association, Oregon Education Association, Stand for Children Oregon and Mother PAC.
“Senator Rob Wagner is nothing more than a big union crony who has no issues in sacrificing an entire generation of Oregonians for his own selfish gains. And in the face of complete and undeniable failure Wagner will look you in the eye and tell you he supports all children in Oregon.”
“Politicians like Wagner care more about performative politics than performance rates and it’s leaving an entire generation disserved.”
“As Senator I will work to cut the Oregon Department of Education in half, eliminate the radical left’s race and gender indoctrination in our schools and restore power back to the voters.”
“I also believe that the money should follow the child. Parents are paying the bill, so why shouldn’t they choose where to send it?”
Ben Edtl is not backed by teachers unions. He’s backed by parents: Parents’ Rights in Education, Oregon Mom’s Union and more.
